New Vlogs from the NAD

New Vlogs from the NAD

Happy January 2009!

We trust your holidays were wonderful, and that you’ve gotten off
to a great start to the New Year. This is the first of many more
updates on what’s happening with the NAD.

On January 12, 2009, we posted a new four-part vlog message from NAD
President Bobbie Beth Scoggins titled “Important Message from the
NAD President”. Here you will see in ASL what we shared earlier in
English format.

In this message, President Scoggins shares the serious financial
situation the NAD faces and steps taken to offset the current
operating deficit, which was approximately $200,000 as of December
2008. On January 1, 2009, staff salaries and hours were reduced by
20%, among other cutbacks – for the next three months. We are
working hard to raise needed funds, so that we can restore
Headquarters operations to normal levels as quickly as possible.

The NAD Board of Directors is meeting in Clearwater, Florida, January
23-24, 2009 at the Renaissance Inn by Marriott. Fundraising is a major
agenda item. The public, as always, is welcome to observe the board in
action.

Our deepest gratitude goes to members and supporters who have already
given donations, renewed memberships, or joined in the last few weeks.
Thank you!
