SYNOPSIS:
This timeless story takes us back to a simpler time, when movies and
musicals were magical and make believe. And at the heart of this
timeless story is the cockney flower girl who is magically transformed
into a “genteel lady” and the man who falls in love with her. A
magnificent Lerner & Loewe collaboration yielded a
never-to-be-forgotten musical gem that includes such songs as: “I
Could Have Danced All Night”, “The Rain in Spain”, “Wouldn’t
It Be Loverly”, and “The Street Where You Live”.
ABOUT THE DIRECTORS:
Broadway veterans John Wilkerson and Margaret Shafer have over 40
years of theatrical experience between them. After practicing their
craft in New York City for many years, they are now based out of
Dallas. They have been fortunate to work with some of the finest
performers, directors, choreographers, musical directors, and
technicians from the Broadway and British stages. They have worked at
every level of performance from major concert halls to cruise ships,
Broadway shows and national tours, Las Vegas, and overseas. Trivia –
they met in a production of MY FAIR LADY where Henry Higgins was
played by John and Eliza Doolittle by Margaret.
