Voting Workshop for People with disAbilities

Local Elections are Important!

Local elections are opportunities for our voices to be heard by those
who serve in elected offices, including our city councils and school
boards. On Saturday, April 4, 2009, you will learn about the
Importance of Voting, Voting Rights, Voting Laws, and the Voting
Process from Registration to Early Voting. You’ll receive
information on being a Poll Worker. And, there’s more!

* Meet the Candidates! A special time to meet and talk with
candidates about your concerns and ideas.

* Experience voting in the Mock Voting Demonstration! Voting machines
are supplied by the Tarrant County Elections Center.

* Information Exhibits! Non-profits, agencies and providers will
information about services and latest technology. See list below.

Bring family and friends. Meet the candidates. Prepare to vote.
