Crepe Crazy: ASL Friends United event at ACC

ASL Friends United (AFU) is a student organization at Austin Community College that is excited to host a free family friendly event that celebrates American Sign Language on Saturday, April 4th, 2009 from 10am to 3pm at Eastview Campus, 3401 Webberville Rd, Austin, Texas 78702 (building 8000, room 8500). This event is titled, ASL Rocks! ASL Rocks will be accessible to all.

Our business, Crepe Crazy will serve at this event. Our business will offer both sweet crepes filled with an assortment of fresh fruits and sweet sauces, and savory crepes filled with a variety of ingredients, such as chicken, ham, bacon, sausages. Our time-honored crepe recipes have been passed down for generations in our family. Beverages, such as fruit smoothies, bottles of water, a variety of pops, and iced tea will be sold as well. Our hearty crepes are made from scratch. Crepes are served HOT and FRESH. You must try one!!!

The program will include the following: showcase of students’ work, nationally well-known performer artist Mark Morales’ ASL storytelling, Dr. Bobbie Beth Scoggins (President, National Association of the Deaf and Chief Operation Officer, Communication Services for the Deaf), retail/consumer promotions, door prizes, artwork by deaf artists, and sign-song groups. Come on and have FUN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
