Finding new Friends and learning more ASL
When I was 14-16yrs old, I made friends with a deaf man at church and
he taught me ASL (I wasn’t fluent but could have a short
conversation). I decided I wanted to be an interpreter. Long story,
short…I haven’t persued this career and have forgotten a lot of the
ASL I learned. I now am very determined to become an interpreter and
also wanting to meet more friends in Texas (moved here from San Diego,
CA).
I would like to find some friends (deaf or hearing) that are close to
me. I would like to go out and have fun while also learning and
practicing my ASL. If anyone lives near Terrell, Forney,
Mesquite…etc., please let me know.
