HB 978 Updated 5/20/09

HB 978 – Texans with Disabilities Update!

May 20, 2009

TEXAS HOUSE BILL (HB) 978 VOTED OUT OF THE SENATE COMMITTEE ON
BUSINESS AND COMMERCE WITH BIPARTISAN SUPPORT LOCAL AND UNCONTESTED!

Thank you for contacting Senate representatives. With a unanimous
vote of 8-0 (one Senator absent), Texas House Bill (HB) 978 was voted
out of the Senate Committee on Business and Commerce Monday, May 19,
2009, and recommended for the local and uncontested calendar today.
This means that a debate on the Senate floor may not be necessary for
HB 978 to be sent to the Governor’s desk for signature. The good
news is HB 978 has received bipartisan support and is still in
process.
