CenterPoint Energy and the City of Houston want you to bring the
entire family to the Houston/Galveston National Weather Service 2009
Hurricane Workshop on Saturday, May 30, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the
George R. Brown Convention Center. Plan to attend this important, free
public event…the largest of its kind in the nation for:
* A free lunch courtesy of Wal-Mart for the first 2,500 attendees
* A generator giveaway courtesy of Home Depot
* A session to ask your local TV meteorologists questions
* A free Hurricane Preparedness video and vendor provided items while
supplies last
* A visit with R.O.N. (Ready or Not), the interactive robot and Louie
the Lightning Bug
* Hurricane experts from the National Weather Service
* Information on the 2009 Hurricane Season, evacuation plans and
power restoration
