Haden Lambert, Rungsit Wongsaprome, Lisa Wynn, Al Pace, and his wife
attended SWCID for the special event on November 6, 2009. We would like to
thank Mark Myers, Provost of SWCID about the event. He explain me about the
date on November 6, 2009 as 30th anniversary of SWCID. Now we understand
that it was when they signed the paper to approve SWCID as a deaf community
college on November 6, 1979 before September 1980 so that there would be the
very first deaf students to come to SWCID. We met a lot of special people
come from all over different places. We were glad that we got meet a lot of
special people. There were many very good speeches and it was very
interesting. We want to thank Mark Myers about this special event.
Christine and Lisa have still been talking to Kelly and Ellen (yearbook
company) we are keeping in contact and helping each other and hopefully the
yearbook looks good. They help us a lot. Kelly and Ellen were very good and
help us too.
Anyone that would like to participate / play in sports, let me know, so that
I may send you the form that you would like to participate / play in the
sports of disc golf, bowling, racquetball, and softball team?? I hear a lot
of them that they like to pay disc golf and bowling. We will have a deadline
to participate or join in the games. We would like to send the form to sign
up.
We still received more more pictures. Good news to hear. And we still
working on the yearbook.
Thank you — if you have any questions, ideas or feedback or suggestion. We
love to hear from you and help each other. Also I received some volunteers
for our SWCID Reunion. We still need more volunteers and let me know what
you are interested with helping us or if you need to talk to me.
