Help TDI Ensure a Healthy Future for VRS
New Vlog: It’s Our World Too!
On the 20th Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), TDI is
asking for your help in planning the future of video relay services. This is
in response to a Notice issued by the Federal Communications Commission
(FCC) on June 28, 2010 that seeks answers to many issues raised in recent
months. The comments that we give to the FCC by August 18, 2010, will
impact and hopefully enhance our ability to make and receive video calls.
Questions cover: research and development, videophone equipment and software
standards, VRS features, availability and quality of interpreters,
distribution of ten-digit numbers to hearing people and many other issues.
Let Claude Stout, Executive Director of TDI, start you off on this vlog with
a few questions and ideas to inspire your comments. To save time, we listed
additional questions on slides. Because of YouTube video size limits, some
slides may be hard to read, so feel free to pause the video to allow
yourself more time to read the slides.
