From:
I would like to invite you to attend The Town Hall Meeting to discuss deaf
education at the Region XI Education Service Center on September 9th from
6pm to 9pm.
This is a public forum in which stakeholders and those interested in deaf
education can provide important feedback regarding issues related to: the
quality of services for students who are deaf or hard of hearing;
educational programming that matches the student’s language of instruction;
and transition services and post-secondary opportunities for students who
are deaf or hard of hearing.
Parents, teachers or other staff working with deaf and hard of hearing
students, Deaf community members, agencies serving the Deaf, and others in
or working with the deaf community are encouraged to attend.
Your feedback will help us, as a region, to evaluate the needs of our deaf
and hard of hearing students as we strive for continuous improvement.
Additional information is attached. You may also share this information with
others that may be interested in attending as well as I know I do not have
an extensive email list. Thank you and I hope to see you on the 9th.
Sincerely,
Stacey McKenzie, M.Ed.
