Join Rally to Support Top School Nationally Known for Highest Quality in Educating Deaf and Hard of Hearing Students
Austin, Texas – March 9, 2011 Texas School for the Deaf (TSD) encourages supporters to contact state leaders and inform the public about the importance of legislative funding for Texas School for the Deaf (TSD). Wear blue and white, and attend Texas School for the Deaf’s Awareness Day at the Texas Capitol, Wednesday March 9, 2011.
The oldest continuously operating public school in Texas, TSD is among the top 5 Deaf schools in the nation and is a treasure to the state’s Deaf community. Educating deaf and hard of hearing students of Texas since 1856, TSD also provides outreach and educational resources for students throughout the state, their families and professionals in the field. With educational excellence and a strong belief in a culture and community at TSD, students form a unique identity based on their individual strengths and talents. TSD is an environment where students learn, grow, and belong.
