Summer Internship Opportunities
We are offering internship positions for six deaf or hard-of-hearing undergraduate science majors for summer 2013. This internship will begin May 28, 2013 and end August 2, 2013. We will begin accepting applications on February 1 and continue until positions are filled.
Three internship positions will be with the Genetics of Connexin 26 Deafness project, led by Dr. Derek Braun. This project combines molecular genetics, bioinformatics, and biological (physical) anthropology.
Three internship positions will be to study the ecological health of the Anacostia River, a tributary that is part of the Chesapeake Bay ecosystem at Gallaudet University, led by Dr. Caroline Solomon.
For more information, download the flyers below. Application forms are included with the flyers.
This marks our fifth year of offering summer internships. Since 2008, we have trained eleven deaf or hard-of-hearing interns.
