Upcoming Event for Dallas Association of the Deaf

Dallas Association of the Deaf (DAD) is pleased to open doors to all the out of town fans and members who are deaf and hard of hearing for the traditional annual Red River rival teams from the University of Texas (UT) Longhorns and the Oklahoma University (OU) Sooners. Both teams will have their battle at the AT&T Football Stadium (formerly Dallas Cowboys Stadium) to determine who is a better team in their Big 12 Conference during the weekend of State Fair of Texas, The game starts at 11 a.m.
7 Screen TVs…DAD has 7 screen TVs in our facility. Other than UT Longhorns vs OU Sooners, there will be other TV screens available here in which you can watch your favorite team play.
Poker Tournament…you can sign up to enter the poker tournament. The entry fee will be added to our admission for the cash prize. Other than poker, there will be several other kinds of games to play.
DAD Bar Room…there will be a full service bar open where you can watch the game on TV and enjoy the bar atmosphere.
Let-Center-Right (LCR) Dice Game…it is fun to play. Depending on how many entrees sign up for the tournament, the cost of entry fee per player will be announced at DAD for the prize money.
Selling Foods…the volunteers will be selling foods in our Cafe area.
B-I-N-G-O at 8 p.m….when the UT-OU football game is over, don't go away…stay for Bingo. Judy Hagan will be in charge of the Bingo event. The Bingo entry fee is $10.00. The winner will get cash in each B-I-N-G-O. Of course, Bingo is a popular game for everyone who want to win the money.
DAD's facility is awesome. If you have not been to DAD before or if it has been a long time since you have visited, you don't want to miss out on all the new changes that has been made to DAD. Please stop by and take a tour. We think you will be impressed.
DAD will expect a good crowd in attendance to our special event on Saturday, October 12.
Mark your calendars and spread the word around the Deaf community. DAD is the only place to continue to enjoy Deaf culture and our tradition of American Sign Language (ASL).
