Sunset Review of Governor’s Committee on People with Disabilities Survey

Sunset Review of Governor’s Committee on People with Disabilities Survey

July 18, 2014

Dear Stakeholder of the Governor’s Committee on People with Disabilities:

As you may be aware, the Sunset Commission staff is currently conducting its review of the Governor’s Committee on People with Disabilities (GCPD). The Legislature has charged the Sunset Commission with reviewing GCPD to determine whether the agency should be continued and what improvements are needed to its mission and functions. In October, Sunset staff will issue its report, which will contain findings and recommendations for the Sunset Commission’s consideration. The Texas Legislature will ultimately decide the changes needed to improve GCPD during the 2015 Legislative session.

As part of the review process, the Sunset team is seeking input from GCPD stakeholders on improvements or changes that could be made to GCPD. We have prepared and sent this survey independently from GCPD and only Sunset staff will compile the results. Your participation in this survey is anonymous. All responses will be kept completely confidential, and cannot and will not be shared with GCPD or the public.

The survey contains eight questions that primarily focus on your perception of GCPD. Please skip any questions that do not apply to you. The survey should take approximately 10 minutes to complete, but could take longer if you choose to expand on your thoughts about the agency. Please complete the survey by Monday, August 4, 2014.
