Rising Stars Silent Night Benefit Featuring Miss Deaf America Rachel Mazique
Miss Deaf America of 2012, Rachel Mazique will appear at the 11th Annual Silent Night Dinner at Lovers Lane United Methodist Church, Dallas, Texas on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at 6pm. Cost is $25 per person for dinner ($10 for children under 12).
Silent Auction items feature jewelry, a weekend stay at a Lakehouse, restaurant certificates, and unique items. All proceeds to benefit Deaf missions and ministry at Lovers Lane.

Come see & meet Miss Deaf America (2010-2012), Rachel Mazique on Saturday, November 1, 2014, 6pm at Lovers Lane United Methodist Church, Dallas, Texas.
At the 2012 NFL Superbowl in Indianapolis, Ms. Mazique signed the National Anthem (see photo). She began her pageant career in her home state of Illinois, where she was invited to participate in the Illinois Deaf Latino pageant. In 2009 she won Miss Deaf Illinois, which led to her competing in the Miss Deaf America pageant, which she won in 2010. She currently teaches English Literature with a Deaf Studies component at the University of Texas in Austin, where she is a doctoral student. Rachel comes to Lovers Lane to help raise support and awareness for the Deaf Ministry of Lovers Lane United Methodist.
The cost of dinner tickets are $25. A table of eight can be purchased for $175 (a discount of $25). Silent Auction will be held during the event, items ranging from gift certificates at local restaurants, weekend get-away, and jewelry.
All proceeds will benefit Deaf missions, ministry and leadership training at Lovers Lane.
