Hello!
My name is Bethany Tsui. I am a Doctor of Audiology student from the University of Texas at Austin. I would love your participation in a survey study on the Deaf community’s relationship and experience with audiologists. As a future audiologist, I want to know how audiologists can better serve their culturally Deaf patients.
To participate, you must…
· Be at least 18 years of age
· Communicate in American Sign Language
· Have a hearing loss
· Live in the Austin area or within a 100-mile radius
The survey can be accessed online by clicking here.
The survey is anonymous and completely voluntary. By clicking “Next” on the survey, you are giving consent to collect research information. You can stop at any time by closing your Internet browser.
The survey has 15 multiple-choice questions and will take around 10-15 minutes to complete. Each question has been translated into ASL. Please answer the questions to your comfort level. No personal identification information will be asked.
Thank you for your consideration! Please contact me if you have any questions about the study at my e-mail address: [email protected]
The deadline to submit answers to the survey is February 4, 2015.
Sincerely,
Bethany Tsui, AuD Student, UT Austin
