What:
SLNG 1346 – Working with DeafBlind Persons (3-3-1)
Instruction in the skills necessary to work with people who are deaf-blind, including deaf-blind children, in educational and residential settings. Includes skills for working as a Support Service Provider (SSP) for a deaf-blind person. May include outside activities.

Rio Grande ACC campus.
When:
16 weeks starting January 16, 2017 – May 13, 2017.
Duration Per Week:
3 hours per week. Could be a hybrid class which will be 1.5 hours per week. (3 credits)
Deadline: December 8th, 2017
Instructor Requirement:
– BA degree in ASL, Deaf Studies, or Deaf Education or
– AA degree in ASL Interpreting, Deaf Studies, or ASL and 3 years non-teaching work experience or
– Related degree (with appropriate coursework) and 3 years non-teaching work experience
