My name is Liz and I work for Vicky Boone Casting! We are currently working on a web series called SPECIAL and we are looking for deaf men and male ASL interpreters in their early to mid 20s to play the roles of MICHAEL and JORDAN. No acting experience is required! This will shoot 8/6-8/29 in Austin, Texas and the rate is $160/8hr. SPECIAL will premiere on a major streaming platform (official announcement pending).
CASTING:
[MICHAEL] – 20 to 27 years old, all ethnicities, male. A deaf guy that goes on a date with Ryan. Very attractive. Please only submit if you are deaf. DAY PLAYER
[JORDAN] – 25 to 40 years old, male all ethnicities, attractive. Michael’s ASL interpreter. Must be proficient in ASL sign language. Please leave a submission note explaining level of fluency. DAY PLAYER
SPECIAL is an upcoming digital dramedy series of eight 15-minute long episodes based on the coming of age story of writer Ryan O’Connell, a gay man living in LA with cerebral palsy. The project is based on O’Connell’s bestselling memoir “I’m Special: And Other Lies We Tell Ourselves” and distribution is in place with a major streaming platform (official announcement pending).
