Deaf Native Artist presents a UTA: Open to the Public – DFW

Native Deaf artist and 2024 Ford Foundation Fellow, Nancy Rourke (Mesa Grande Band of Mission Indians. Kumeyaay Nation) will present about her work at UTA. Nancy is an expressionist painter currently completing a commissioned mural at the National Deaf Life Museum of Gallaudet University in Washington D.C. and is about to embark on another commissioned mural in Turin, Italy, at a 210-year old Deaf institute.

Nancy will be presenting at UTA on Monday, November 18, 2024 from 5:30-7pm in ARCH 204 (an event open to the public).

Here is the information for parking, especially for folks from the Deaf community. They will be prompted to put in the code below for a permit and can park in the closest faculty/staff lots to the CAPPA building. See attached map.

Here are the steps for guests to register for parking:

3. Select “Nancy Rourke Native Deaf Presentation”

4. Enter voucher code: Rourke

5. Select permit type “(EVT-COMP) Fac/Staff Surface Lots”

6. Select the active date

7. Add vehicle info and confirm
