Houston Deaf Advisory Committee: New Committee Members Wanted!

The Houston Deaf Advisory Committee (HDAC) is now accepting applications to
fill 5 new positions. We are seeking leaders and advocates in the deaf
community within the city of Houston. The purpose of this committee is to
advise and make recommendations to the Mayor’s Office for People with
Disabilities and City Departments on issues pertaining to the deaf community
within the city of Houston. We are working together to create a more
“deaf-friendly” Houston.

The committee meets on a quarterly basis at the Metropolitan Multi-Service
Center (1475 W. Gray St., Houston, TX 77019). The HDAC also has private
meetings in between quarterly, public meetings.

If you are interested in being considered for a position on the Houston Deaf
Advisory Committee, please send a complete application to Kaitlyn Tracy at
Kaitlyn.Tracy@houstontx.gov or send by mail. The address is in the
application. Incomplete applications will not be considered. (see link
below)

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Kaitlyn at
