Breast Cancer & BSE Awareness for Deaf & Hard of Hearing Women
Invitation:
We would like to invite deaf and hard of hearing women from the Dallas/Fort Worth area to a presentation on Breast Cancer and Breast Self Examination to be given by second semester nursing students. This is part of a requirement from the nursing program and your attendance/participation will play a factor in our grade. To show our appreciation for your participation we will have:
* Refreshments (coffee, water, yummy desserts)
* Raffle drawing for prizes
* Candy for the winners of a game
Not only do we want to stress the importance of this presentation but studies have shown that the deaf and hard of hearing women population have been in the dark regarding breast cancer and early detection methods.
Part of the presentation will be conducted in sign language and there will be interpreters available.
Please join us for this night of educational fun and we look forward to meeting you.
When: Thursday, October 12, 2006
Time: 7:00 – 9:00 p.m.
Where: Room B124 Collin County Community College Spring Creek Campus (Jupiter and Spring Creek in Plano, Texas)
