2007 Summer Academy in Computing for Deaf & HardofHearing Students

The University of Washington’s Department of Computer Science & Engineering and DO-IT are pleased to announce that the brochure and online application for the /2007 Summer Academy in Advancing Deaf and Hard of Hearing in Computing/ are now available at our new website, www.washington.edu/accesscomputing/dhh/academy

The 2007 Summer Academy seeks to find the top 10 deaf, hard of hearing and deaf-blind students, 18 and over, with an interest in math, science and/or computing (students under 18 may be considered under special circumstances). Our program is fully funded by the National Science Foundation; tuition, room & board and transportation will be provided at no cost to selected applicants. This is truly an exciting opportunity!

Please forward this email to students who have shown an interest in math, science and computing, or to another educator that would know such students. The deadline is March 1, 2007, however applications received after that date will be considered on a space available basis.

Thank you for your assistance,
