At Casa De Luz- Learn about Macrobiotic Cooking, for healthy living
Hello fellow deaf Texans!
Have you ever heard the term “macrobiotic diet”? It is highly acclaimed as a way of eating, a way of life. Many believe that it has cured their diseases and is effective as a way to prevent disease. If you are interested in learning more about this, now is our chance!
During my personal journey through cancer, chemotherapy, and survival, I have read a lot about “alternative” ways of life and living, for the better and with a higher level of “quality of life.” It’s more than just preventing or overcoming disease or other ailments, it is about living fuller, richer lives.
My big problem is that most ways to learn these things such as macrobiotic cooking, one needs to through attend seminars, group meetings, etc, at smaller organizations. So I am now working with Dawn from the Natural Epicurean Academy of Culinary Arts (http://www.naturalepicurean.com), a cooking school specializing in vegetarian cuisine, to provide classes with an interpreter.

In April, there will be a weekend series taught, also at Casa De Luz, “WEEKEND FUNDAMENTALS INTENSIVE: COOKING FOR DISEASE PREVENTION & REVERSAL,” on Saturday & Sunday, April 7 – 8. Cost is $250, $125 for a second partner. See the attached flyer, “WeekendClass2007.pdf” for more details. (see below)
