Religious Interpreters’ Workshop – DFW

Religious Interpreters’ Workshop

The Catholic Deaf Ministry Program for the Diocese of Fort Worth is sponsoring a skills building workshop for religious interpreters. It will be held on Sunday April 22, 2007 in the library at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 861 Wildwood Lane, Grapevine, TX 76051. (see www.stfrancisgrapevine.org for a map and directions)

Deacon Patrick Graybill, who is a renowned deaf leader and sought-after speaker, will lead “The Interpreted Catholic Mass” workshop. Although the focus of the training will be on incorporating ASL into the Catholic interpreted mass, religious interpreters from other denominations are welcome to join, share and learn. Registration for the workshop is $15.00 and can be obtained from the Deaf Ministry website: www.fwdioc.org (Deaf Ministry) or by contacting Mary Cinatl, Director of Deaf Ministry, at [email protected].

RID and DARS cues will be awarded.
