UPDATED: Law & Order TV show – DFW

FROM NBCNBC 5 meteorologists have long provided North Texans with important weather information and alerts. I’m glad you appreciate that their initial warnings are beneficial.

I assure you we will review last night’s events with the meteorologists. We use instances such as last night to learn what our viewers expect from NBC 5 and make any needed changes.

Generally speaking, the meteorologists determine the amount of time they spend on the air given the current weather conditions and the potential danger they perceive to life or property. We do have other, less intrusive, means to relay weather information to you (like on-screen crawls or weather radar maps) and use these whenever possible.

I’m pleased to tell you that we did get permission from the NBC Television Network to repeat the interrupted episode of “Law and Order:CI” at 2:05-3:05 a.m. on Thursday night – Friday morning, 4/5-6. Existing programming contracts and network limitations do not allow us to repeat the program at a more appealing time. We hope that viewers will be able to record the program for later playback.

Thank you again for sharing your opinion with NBC 5. I hope you will continue to watch us.

Regards,
NBC 5 Programming Dept
