MCCS Rio Bravo School for the Deaf Hit by Tornado

The Rio Bravo School for the Deaf in Mexico (Mexicano Centro Cristiano para los Sordomudos) experienced a tornado Tuesday, July 3, 2007. No one was injured, but they have been left without electricity and water.
This was the first week that the students had been away from the campus for the summer, although the staff were there.

The previous week teams from several Deaf Church congregations across Texas had spent the week there to provide a Vacation Bible School for the students, and to complete one of the buildings. The school has been providing signed education (something not provided before 2007-2008 by the government of Mexico) to Deaf children for ten years.

Information about the school is located at:

ICCD director and staff have requested prayers for assistance in recovering from this disaster.

THANKS!
