To all who are concerned:
SPECIAL ALERT AND INFORMATION!
As you probably know by now there is a dangerous hurricane headed for
the Gulf of Mexico and will strike somewhere on the gulf coast as
early as Wednesday. Anyone needing to be evacuated may call 211 by
relay (TDD or VP) and ask to be put on a special list. They will
assist you in evacuating to a shelter for those with special needs.
At this point we do not know where that shelter will be but as soon
as that info come available we will post it in another email. We will
organize deaf service within that shelter as soon as possible.
There will be a Hurricane Readiness Task Force meeting at Woodhaven
Baptist Deaf Church, Monday evening August 20th at 7:00 P.M. The
meeting is open to anyone who would like to attend for the latest
plans and information.
