Character Breakdown
Jesse – Tony’s son and is good friends with Vanessa (daughter).
Teenager.
Debbie – A cochlear implant doctor and checks up on Janet (the
Mother). She and Janet forms a special relationship. 40’s to 50’s.
Miss Grundy – An old English teacher that is always hard on their
students to behave well. Late 50’s to 70’s.
Trixy – A naive and lonely woman who wants to meet new friends all
the time. 40’s to 50’s.
Superintendent – Has worked at the deaf school for many years and
doesn?e tolerance for any foolish behaviors. Any gender, 40’s to
60’s.
Bobby – Good looking motivated and desperate VRS installer. Early
20’s.
Tommy – Good looking motivated and desperate VRS installer. Early
20’s.
Jimmy – Good looking motivated and desperate VRS installer. Early
20’s.
CEO – A bald man that has years of experience shown on his face. 40’s
to 60’s.
Secretary – A submissive lady working for the CEO. 40’s to 50’s.
Patti – A newcomer to sign language and thinks she’s trained well but
in reality can’t sign and isn’t well receptive. Late 20’s to early
30’s.
Laurene (girl vanessa friend) – A close friend of Vanessa and goes
over to the Deaf Family house anytime she can. Teenager.
Steve – A friend of Charlie and Janet from college. Also Janet’s
ex-boyfriend during college. late 30’s to 40’s.
Donny – Peddles keychains for a living and very possessive about his
peddling territory. 30’s to 40’s.
10 Deaf Investors – Motivated individuals who wants to make quick and
easy money. Any age.
Moses & Shari – An angry couple when they learned they’ve lost their
savings into an investment. 40’s to 50’s.
Mr. Obray – A CEO of a fast-growing company whom Charlie wants to
work for. Sharp businessman look. 40’s to 50’s.
Mrs. Obray – The wife of Mr. Obray and visits the Deaf Family for
dinner. 40’s to 50’s.
Interpreter – A very qualified interpreter for Mr. Obray and
Charlie’s meetings. Late 20’s to 50’s.
Male Students – A group of male students in the locker room after a
football practice. Teenagers.
