A MESSAGE FROM THE DAD PRESIDENT:

Hello Members and Friends of DAD;
We are nearly half way through November! You may wondering why I am
so concern of the timing each month. To tell you the truth, I am kind
of reminding you and myself that it’s time for us to get some holiday
shopping done. Sooner the better, or we would be among those late
shoppers – that’s no fun!
Last Saturday, we had 34 bowlers. The winner went to Johnny Dominik
from TX, 2nd place to Jonathon Hollis from OK and 3rd place to Ted
Thomas from NE. There were so many fans who watched the game and/or
chatted their fingers off. More than half of the fans came to DAD
after the bowling tournament to meet with Miss Deaf Texas, Katherine
Murch.
Miss Deaf Texas and her committee had their fundraising which was a
great turnout! I saw a few young ladies and two girls (10 year olds)
had the opportunity to mingle with Miss Deaf Texas, Katherine Murch.
This coming Saturday morning 9:00 to 12:00pm will be our fourth and
final 2007 Job Workshop with Mr. Bobby Benefield, DARS counselor in
Ft. Worth. Then the Dallas Black Deaf Advocacy (DBDA) will have their
monthly meeting at 3:00pm, for more information please contact Cathy

Last but not least, long time favorite card game, CINGO, will be held
at 8:00pm. Grilled cheese sandwich, chips/variety kind of soups, iced
tea and dessert will be sold.
Like I mentioned earlier in my message, holidays are just around the
corner….so please review the following events because they require
RSVP. RSVP will help us prepare for number of attendance.
