A MESSAGE TO MEMBERS AND FRIENDS FROM THE DAD PRESIDENT:

Hello Members and Friends of DAD;
We, the DAD Board, hope everyone had a wonderful Turkey Day and a
safe journey back home. Now it’s time to shift our mood and spirit to
the upcoming Christmas & Hanuka holidays which are right around the
corner!
Before we get that far ahead, there is something really exciting will
happen this coming Thursday! Yes that’s right! It’s the Green Bay
Packers playing against the Dallas Cowboys. It has always been a
rival between those two teams. Both teams have 10 -1 record; Brett
Favre who’s 38 years old, is surprising everyone how well he is
playing when many of us had thought he would retire last summer.
Romo, who was raised and played in Burlington, WI, which is only 25
miles away from where I grew up! Dang it, I could have met him years
ago, ha.
Anyway, many of you know that I am a true Green Bay Packer fan and I
am sure that there are a few more Packer fans. I am making an
announcement that Dallas Association of the Deaf clubhouse will be
OPEN, this Thursday, November 29 at 5:30pm. Hamburger, hotdogs, chips
and desserts will be sold. So do come on over and join the fun!

Also the Winter Holiday party committee is seeking donations. Please

Deaf, hard of hearing and/or hearing children are welcome to join the
Winter Holiday Party. All we need to know is the child(ren)’s name and
age so we can ensure that he/she will receive an appropriate gift when
he/she comes to the party. Parents or guardians are also encourage to
bring a dozen cookies.
This event is recommended for 10 years old and younger. Children will
have an opportunity to play a few games, color some pictures and meet
Santa Claus who can sign! Free for children!
Last but not the least: New Year’s Eve Party! – Dec 31. Doors will
open at 5:00pm;
