DESCRIPTION OF EVENT: Winter SolstiCelebration – an interfaith,
multicultural commemoration of Winter Solstice with music,
storytelling, ceremony, dance, poetry, ceremony and ritual. Exploring
the regenerative grace of darkness and the redemptive power of light
with movement, chanting, sing-a-longs, yoga and other opportunities
for active whole-bodied participation.
The service will be signed for the deaf.
Please bring flashlights to participate in the light service!
Well be accepting donations of canned meat, fish and saltine
crackers for the Cathedral of Hope food pantry.
Stay for the Yule Fest ~ Enjoy a Feast of Nuts, Fruits & Grains ~
Dance to an electronic groove band ~ Interact with roving characters
~ Get your picture taken with Father Winter.
