Advocacy Strategies for Achiveing Effective Communication

Hello Community Partners and Friends,

Please share this brochure to all persons who may be interested in
becoming more skilled at obtaining appropriate services or
accommodations for people who are deaf or hard of hearing.

The target audience includes, Directors and/or Interpreter
coordination staff of independent living and deaf and hard of hearing
centers, job development/job placement staff, Vocational
Rehabilitation Counselors serving persons who are deaf/hard of
hearing, and individuals who are hearing, deaf or hard of hearing who
want to become effective advocates.

This 2 day training will be in 4 different cities between February
and April 2008. There is prerequisite work required for attendance
that is outlined in the attached brochure. Attendance will be limited
to 30 individuals per location on a first come first serve basis. The
