Interpreter Liaison Position at Texas State University – San Marcos
The Office of Disability Services at Texas State University-San
Marcos is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the full-time
position of Liaison Interpreter (LI). The LI will provide
interpreting services approximately 60% time for deaf and hard of
hearing students.
The remaining 40% time the LI will educate deaf and hard of hearing
students on the use of interpreters and accessing accommodations;
coordinate and provide additional support services for Deaf and hard
of hearing students; serve as a community contact person for general
information related to deafness; conduct Communication Modes
interviews with D/HH students to establish their communication needs
and preferences; and assist the Interpreter Coordinator with the site
coordination and LTA for RID written & performance testing.
