Deaf Services at SafePlace
Deaf Services is NEW!!
SafePlace is looking for 7 to 9 people to be on the committee for
input & feedback from the Deaf community to guide our new Deaf
Services Program.
Who can join the Advisory Committee??
The committee is open to anyone.
Are you interested?
Do you know someone who would like to be involved??
There will be a screening and interview.
Background check is a requirement.
Deaf community members are strongly encouraged (Deaf person, CODA,
interpreters, or a person who works with the Deaf community)
Meetings will be once a month. Thursday preferred.
Discuss issues that impact Deaf Services: (Examples)
· Technology, Interpreters, Deaf related issues
· Services that need improvement
· New suggestions or ideas for the program
· How to meet Deaf community’s needs
· Share community events to avoid conflicts
· No fund raising responsibilities
And, many more!!
