Announcement from Robert Giuntoli

September 9, 2008

Hello Everyone,

Picture of RGI would like to make a quick formal announcement that I have accepted a job at the Public Utility Commission of Texas as the Relay Texas Administrator. I will be replacing Mr. Roy “Ed” Bosson, who recently retired on August 29th. I will continue my employment with Sprint Relay until September 30th and begin my new employment with the PUC October 1st.

I have big shoes to fill, but Ed Bosson has been a great mentor. Sprint has been a wonderful employer, and with my 16 years of experience in the TRS field, I am confident that I will bring immediate contributions to the relay user communities, including the TX PUC and the relay providers.

A couple of my new main responsibilities as the new TRS Administrator will be; ensuring that all Deaf, Hard-of-Hearing, Speech-Disabled, and Hearing relay consumers get the best quality relay service through Relay Texas, and that all have full access to the Specialized Telecommunications Assistance Program (STAP). This new career will continue to affect me both professionally and personally, as I am also a relay consumer myself. I know how truly important a reliable and barrier-free communication is for everyone.

I look forward to this new opportunity to further serve all citizens of Texas. Please feel free to share this information with interested parties.

Sincerely,

Robert Giuntoli
