Historic Scarbrough Building Features Holiday Display by Students
from the Texas School for the Deaf
Austin, Texas – December 3, 2008 See the Texas School for the
Deaf’s (TSD) Window Wonderland in downtown Austin. Throughout the
holidays, the Scarbrough building at the southwest corner of Sixth
Street and Congress Avenue, features a unique, multi-media student
holiday display in the large, street-front windows.
A number of young, talented artists who attend Texas School for the
Deaf contributed to the exhibit and invite viewers to make it downtown
to have a look during the holidays, while learning about at the
student’s unique culture and the distinguished history of TSD.
With a strong belief in culture and community at TSD, students form a
unique identity based on their individual strengths and talents. At
TSD, students learn, grow, and belong. For more information about TSD,

The TSD Foundation hosts an opening reception, this Saturday,
December 6, in the Scarbrough lobby, 522 Congress Avenue, from
5:00-7:00 pm, in conjunction with the downtown holiday stroll and
Capitol tree lighting. Donations are welcome to a giving tree,
benefiting TSD‘s performing and fine arts programs. For more about
