DEAFDIGEST LAUNCHES WEEKLY COLUMN ON THE DIGITAL TELEVISION
TRANSITION

Washington, DC- As the deadline for the analog television shutoff
looms closer on February 17, 2009, DeafDigest has developed a weekly
column about the digital television transition in its international
electronic newsletter targeting deaf and hard of hearing people. It
will answer questions by consumers about the analog shutoff and what
they need to do to prepare for it.

Barry Strassler, editor of DeafDigest, says “We have been faced with
many questions about this digital and analog TV issue over the past
few years and have addressed it in DeafDigest from time to time. With
the February 17 deadline getting closer, we felt that we needed to
address this on a weekly basis to help reduce the confusion that is
already occurring.”

This educational column is sponsored by Davideo Productions, a long
time veteran in broadcast and cable television based in Texas
(http://www.davideo.tv). Davideo’s chief executive officer, David H.
Pierce, adds that “we feel it’s our social responsibility to the deaf
and hard of hearing community to help with this important educational
column. We are pleased to be a part of this initiative to help all our
friends.”
