MORE GOOD NEWS

YEARBOOKS ON SALES NOW FOR $65.00 DOLLARS

We want to tell everyone that we have very good news. We have been
collecting the Yearbook payments from those who are interested to buy
the SWCID Reunion 2010 Yearbook. We have been remindingyou (all) that
we are selling yearbook for $65.00 dollars before May 31, 2009 (due,
deadline). The price will go up to $75.00 dollars from June 1, 2009 to
December 31, 2009. We want remind you that the price is cheap right
now. Grab your yearbook 2010 for $65.00, don’t wait, don’t delay too
long. After June 1, 2009 will cost you $75.00 dollars until December
31, 2009.

YEARBOOK PAYMENT/LAYAWAY

Start now, save $10.00 or $20.00 on January 2009, and save another
$10.00 to $20.00 dollars on Feburary 2009 until you make it up to
$65.00 dollars then mail your payment to Christine Kamal as personal
check or money order. Do not forget to put on your personal check or
money order as (pay to the order of ) “Reunion 2010” and on the
bottoem left of the check (personal checks only) you will see “memo”
and put the “Yearbook”. If you are paying the money orders please
leave a note for me to know which one it is for yearbook in the
futures.

YEARBOOK FEATURES/PAGES/PICTURES

The yearbook will show 400 pages, color and black/white. Mrs Burke
will write the historical events about SWCID, the past and the present
building, the past and the present student, and will share with other
people who took the pictures. There will be many and many more
involved with this yearbook. Please send me your picures that you took
or have take in SWCID. Any pictures are welcome. Remember write the
information (description of names of people or events or place and
date on the back of the pictures. So we can put any pictures in the
yearbook. Send the pictures to Lisa Wynn or Christine Kamal.

WEBSITE

We are still working (under construction) to get our new website
soon. We are sorry for the inconvenience. We are trying our best.

NO VP OR COMPUTER?

Let you know that we received some feeback that some people did not
have videophones or computers. Please tell other people or your
friends and family about our SWCID Reunion 2010 on July 8-11, 2010.
Spread the word! We appreciate your spreading the news and informatin.

T-SHIRTS/POLO SHIRTS

Also Lisa Wynn has been working on the T-shirt and Polo shirts to get
more information and will bring it to the SWCID committee meeting.
After the meeting we will announce on the next SWCID Reunion
newsletter about how much it will cost and what the prices are.

DEAF NATION – DEAF EXPO – AUSTIN, TEXAS MARCH 7, 2009

We want to remind you that Christine Kamal will be in Austin, Texas
for the Deaf Nation Deaf Expo on March 7, 2009. SHe will be collecting
your photos there if you want to come to Austin, Texas and or bring
your money /payment for the yearbook and you can give it to her there
and ask question and many more. If you have any quesions, she will be
more happy to answer the questions.

OKLAHOMA DEAF NATION EXPO OCTOBER 2009

Lisa Wynn will be going to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma for Deaf Nation
deaf Expo in October 2009

SWCID SPORTS @ SWCID REUNION 2010??

Also would you like to see sports or games in our swcid reunion 2010.
Remember this is unofficial because we will go to Big Spring, Texas to
find out more information. We will announce it in the next SWCID
Reunion newsletter. We might have softball games, bowling games,
horseshoes games, and Racquetball games.

SAYING A BIG THANK YOU!

I could like to say a “BIG THANK YOU” to Lana Reynolds, Hope Landin,
Freddy Maddux, Linda Shipley, Cole Wilson, Daniel Esqueda, Renee
Bartsch, Christine Kamal, and Lisa Santos for telling everyone about
SWCID Reunion 2010. I really appreciate your help.

LOGOS/THEMES

More good news to tell you, we have about 10 logos. Also there are
about 6 Themes. We have about 7 different kind of enterprises. We will
bring the information to SWCID on Februray 27 to 28 to vote. We will
announce the winner at the SWCID Reunion. We will pick one or two
enterprises, depending upon the SWCID Reunion and SWCID committee.

PHOTOGRAPHERS/YEARBOOK PHOTOS

Haden Lambert and Rungsit Wonsaprome will come to SWCID and help us.
They will scan all of the pictures in the SWCID museum from 1980 to
present. We want all of the pictures to be put into the new Yearbook
2010.

SWCID REUNION 2010 COMMITTEE MEMEBERS

We want to let you know that SWCID Reunion 2010 commitee will go to
Big Spring, Texas to have a meeting and to get more information on
February 27 to 28, 2009. Lisa Wynn will be updating and getting more
information out into the next newsletter.

COMMITTEE WORKING ON YEARBOOK IN AUGUST

Also in August 2009, we will work on the draft yearbook in Dallas,
Texas and we hope to finish by the time because it will have 400
pages. After we finish with the draft yearbook, we will hold it until
July 8 to 11, 2009, we will take more pictures for the event. Then we
will put out last pictures of the event into the yearbook. We will
send the draft yearbook to the Yearbook Company for processing and
printing. They will work on it. They informaed me that they (yearbook
company) wll be doen within 3 to 6 months and they will mail to you on
via UPS. Why 3 to 6 months, it depends on how many people will buy the
yearbook. Lisa Wynn hopes that everyone will buy a yearbook and we
hope to sell over 100 yearbooks.

Dr. DOUGLAS BURKE SCULPTURE

Cole Wilson will be helping us to find a way to get the Sculpture.
Cole Wilson and Lisa Wynn discussed about it. Cole Wilson suggested to
start fundraising until we have enough money. Donations are welcome.
Remember the Sculpture is not cheap, It is very heavy and expensive.
We would like to have it ready by 2015. The Sculpture will be that of
Dr. Douglas Burke.

REUNION CHANGES DATE TO JULY?

Mark Meyers, Provost of SWCID, said if there are more than 300
people, then he will have the SWCID Reunion every 5 years in the
summer in July.

NEED YOUR HELP/DONATIONS/FUNDING

We need your big help. We need to earn some money or find donations
for the Sculpture and SWCID Reunion 2010 event. If you plan to donate
money, please let us know (leave us a note) what it is for. When you
send us a check or money order let us know if it is for the Dr. Burke
Sculpture or for the next SWCID Reunion. All moneys will be kept and
recorded.
