Fort Worth City Council Meeting on February 3rd!

Fort Worth City Council Meeting on February 3, 2009

Hi All,

I’m writing to ask you to share a few words at the Fort Worth City
Council Meeting on Tuesday, February 3rd, on what the resolution and
the steps the City of Fort Worth is taking mean to you. I think it is
important for the City Council and the people of the City of Fort
Worth hear from members of the deaf community to see the community’s
show support for the resolution.

It doesn’t end with the resolution. Getting the resolution passed is
only the beginning. There will be more work ahead. It is important
that the City Council and Commission feel they have the support of the
deaf and hard of hearing community. Estrus Tucker, Chair of the Human
Relations Commission calls us “neighbors.” He has included the deaf
and hard of hearing community in the process of determining the
recommendations for the resolution. This is a time to celebrate.

Please arrive early, around 6:30 PM, to give yourself time to find
parking and then fill out a card to speak, before the meeting starts.
The Council Meeting will begin at 7:00 PM. Each speaker will be
limited to 3 minutes. Also, please spread the word, so that we have a
good turnout. For a copy of the Council agenda, go to

and look for the February 3rd Council Meeting under Public Meetings.

The Council Meeting will be held at:
