PSA for the Texas School for the Deaf
Alamo Drafthouse Cinema Sponsors Fundraiser to Support DeafACT’s
and Texas School for the Deaf’s GREASE Production
Austin, Texas –The Alamo Drafthouse Cinema on South Lamar Boulevard
presents a special, FREE, captioned showing of the 1978 musical film,
GREASE, on Monday, March 2, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. to support DeafACT’s
upcoming live production of the hit musical, premiering April 3 and 4
at the Texas School for the Deaf (TSD).
To help raise funds for production costs like costumes and set
design, the TSD/DeafACT cast and crew will gladly accept donations at
the door.
And as a special treat, TSD students starring in the school’s
upcoming live production will “sign along” with the music of the
film Monday evening for a sneak peek at signed interpretations of
music, performed using American Sign Language.
