April 28, 2009

TEXAS HOUSE BILL 978 – NEW DEVELOPMENT FROM AUSTIN –

CONTACT HOUSE CALENDARS COMMITTEE CHAIRMAN BRIAN MCCALL TODAY!

The House Business and Industry Committee unanimously passed Texas
House Bill (HB) 978. Texas Rocks! Now, House Calendars Committee
Chairman Brian McCall needs to hear from all Texans, in support of
Texans with disabilities, to schedule HB 978 for consideration and
vote on the House floor. HB 978 makes it possible for disabled Texans
to be protected under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) 2008
signed into law at the federal level by President Bush.

Texans living with disabilities, a friend, neighbor, family member,
or someone, who once served in the military or emergency services,
cannot wait until 2011 to be considered for the decency and respect
any person should be given. Contact Representative Brian McCall today,
and let him know how important it is to move HB 978 out of the House
Calendars Committee to the House Floor for a vote this legislative
session.
