Trainings for 2009 – Texas Interpreter Education Series

DARS Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services will present these trainings on issues of importance to people who are deaf and hard of hearing through November. Attendees are encouraged to register early. Trainings topics and dates are:

* Interpreter Skills Training Development— July 5-July 10

* Arrested in America- Interpreting Interrogations and the Miranda Warning—Aug. 28 & 29, Sept. 18 & 19

* From Arrest to Conviction: “Legal Ease” for Interpreters— July 22, Aug. 8, Aug. 21-22

* Logical Reasoning for Court Interpreters— Nov. 20-21

* DECIDE: An Ethical Decision Making Session for Court and Legal Interpreters—Oct. 17
