Workshop Description:
The workshop focuses on what you bring to the interpreting assignment. What values, cultural orientation, ethical & intellectual maturity level, soft skills, communication patterns and boundaries help you make your decisions? What happens when values conflict with ethics? How do others view interpreters when a bad decision is made? The workshop also celebrates the EXEMPLARY work of and decisions made by interpreters. It is the first of three workshops on ethical decision-making and is designed for all interpreters. The workshop includes with a one-hour lunch break.
