The Literacy and Language Learning Clinic at Texas Woman’s University in
Denton offers reading and language tutoring with students who are deaf or
hard of hearing. Tutoring sessions are offered Monday, Wednesday and Friday
after school for school-aged children. The tutoring sessions run 50 minutes.
The number of weekly sessions can be individually arranged based on the
student’s needs.

We offer a reading diagnostic assessment and literacy instruction. All the
sessions are supervised by a TWU faculty member who is a reading specialist
and experienced deaf educator. The tutors are TWU graduate students earning
degrees in deaf education. They can communicate in sign language.
