REV. EMORY DIVELY is a 1974 graduate of the Michigan School for the Deaf.
After attending NTID, I went to Bible College, and then seminary. I
graduated with an MA degree from the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary
in 1982. Since 1997, my wife Cindy (of 31 years) and I have been
co-pastoring Twin Cities Deaf Assembly in St. Paul, Minnesota. I am an
appointed U.S. missionary of the Assemblies of God, and have done training
and education with Deaf persons in more than 25 countries. Also I was past
president of the National Deaf Culture Fellowship (NF) for 7 years, and then
in September of 2011, I was elected as the NF secretary.

Also I have taught at many school programs, been actively involved with the
Minnesota Association of Deaf Citizens, the World Deaf Assemblies of God
Fellowship, the Minnesota Registry of Interpreters, and the Task Force of
Educational Interpreters Certification. Politically, I was an endorsed
candidate for the MN State Legislature, and delegate for the MN Local,
Congressional District, and State Convention. I was the first Deaf clergy
to lead a prayer in the Minnesota Senate, and have done many other chaplain
duties.

My greatest blessings are my wife Cindy, my two adult children (Erica and
Emory David) and my 3 grandchildren. I am looking forward to coming to
Austin and sharing this special time together!!
