enforcement and crime prevention. Participants meet speakers from various
units in the department and gain practical knowledge of police work.
CPA alumni often continue with the FWPD in volunteer capacities, such as
with the Citizens On Patrol and CODE:BLUE programs.
The FWPD strives to promote understanding and build viable relationships
with residents and visitors who are deaf, hard of hearing, late-deafened,
deaf-blind and those whose primary language is American Sign Language
(ASL).
