Work-Based Learning – Summer Youth Employement program – Austin
The work-Based Learning /Summer Youth Employment Program is gearing up for
the Summer 2012 Youth Employment. Parents should call 512-854-4590 to
register of Job-Readiness Training beginning January 3, 2012. Training must
be completed by March 31, 2012.
Requirements:
a. 14-17 years of age (youth with disability up to age 22)-Youth must be 14
years of age no later than April 6, 2012
b. Reside in Austin/Travis County.
c. Attend School in Austin/Travis County (must provide current-year school
ID or report card.)
d. Valid Social security Card (signed and not laminated)
e. Complete 15 hours of Job-Readiness Training.
f. Parent/Guardian must attend first day of training.
g. Upon assignment, youth must commit to a 5-week work session during the
2012 summer program
