Base Pay: $34,812
Under the general supervision of the Coordinator of Communication
Access Services for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CADH), provide
part-time (25 hours per week) sign language interpreting services for
Deaf/hard of hearing faculty/staff/students/ visitors. Sign language
interpreting services include, but are not limited to interpreting for
lectures, lab seminars, meetings and exams as well as university hosted
activities such as convocations, commencements, orientations and
lecture series.
Work effectively in teams with other sign language interpreters.
Adhere to the RID Code of Professional Conduct.
Other Duties:
Participate in planning and implementing skills building work
sessions/workshops.
Provide feedback/mentoring for peer interpreters.
Provide feedback/mentoring for intern/practicum students.
Assist CADH Coordinator with scheduling, documentation, data entry as
needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
