Spooky Skedaddle a Huge Success!

Spooky Skedaddle a Huge Success!

Thank you for making the 1st annual Spooky Skedaddle a success!

Over 1,000 guests of all ages came to take part in the Spooky Skedaddle 5K and Festival at the Texas School for the Deaf campus on October 27, 2012. The event raised almost $15,000 in support of deaf children in Texas and more than 100 volunteers donated countless hours of their time.

The race took place entirely on the campus and awards were given in several categories. Runners interested in race times and awards please click here!

Prizes for largest runner groups were also awarded, with the Mad Scientists from Small World Labs claiming top prize, the DZ Turtle Trotters taking second, and the Wacky Witches taking third.

A special surprise came when Ryan Gosling and the crew from Terrence Malick’s new film showed up to capture footage at the event, which may be featured in the film! We couldn’t have pulled it all off without the support of our dedicated TSD community ~ thanks again and see you next year!
