English Literacy Courses for 2013 – DFW
English Literacy Courses
for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Students
El Centro College Downtown Campus
Tuesday and Thursday mornings, beginning January 22, 2013
Students must be deaf or hard of hearing to register for these classes.
The instructor is a hearing person and uses ASL certified interpreters to communicate with the deaf students.
Goal of our courses: to enable deaf students to gain the English Reading, Writing, and Grammar skills they need in order to function independently at work, in society, and at home.
Classes are specially adapted to deaf students with ASL certified interpreters, visuals, CART Services, and videos.
The semester schedule includes visits from successful deaf persons who are now working at good jobs in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
